Who is making this, and why.
This project began with a simple observation: Ghana’s institutional history is almost entirely unrecorded on film, and the window to record it well is open now.
The people who opened the doors in the first years of independence are still able to tell it themselves. Company archives are still recoverable. The generation that carried these institutions through their defining decades is still here to be asked.
The Builders is our attempt to do it once, and do it properly, while it can be done best.
